Andrew Mark Construction (AMC) is an established, stable, and growing San Francisco-based company. We specialize in remodels and renovations of High-End homes in San Francisco. We are looking for a superstar Superintendent to join our team!
Primary Function: The Superintendent will be responsible for the management of all phases of a construction project, including coordinating workers, materials and equipment, ensuring specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent will typically be assigned one or more projects and will work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager, or Production Manager. The Superintendent’s direct reports are the Foremen, Journeymen, Carpenters, Laborers, or other crew members as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
Holds primary responsibility in the field for the success of projects assigned, including detailed daily field reports, accurate and reliable time card management, communication with clients on a day-to-day basis, timely identification of problems, and proposal of creative solutions
100% job safety and compliance in following all procedures and practices, conducts regular project progress meetings, and fosters teamwork among all involved parties
Responsible for managing daily activities on projects and originating change orders
Ensures proper subs and staffing on jobs to complete work most effectively and efficiently
Maintains open, daily communication with project/production manager, foreman, and field staff.
Fosters an enthusiastic, creative, "can do" attitude and shares the responsibility for the Company and department goals
Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or the equivalent of 4-6 years of related experience required
Practical construction knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and plans
Highly motivated, self-starter, and organized, with excellent time management skills
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow and demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Proven leadership and business acumen skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
Bilingual skills a plus (Spanish)
